Model 30CUAR hardwired smoke and carbon monoxide detector with AA battery backup. Interconnectable design features LED warning lights for added safety. The enhanced sensing technology reduces false alarms often caused by cooking. Fast alerts sound upon sensing smoke or carbon monoxide, an 85-decibel alarm sounds and a red LED will illuminate. Hardwired with AA backup batteries. Operates on a 120-volt AC wire (installed in your ceiling) with (2)AA alkaline batteries that provide battery backup coverage during power outages. LED lights indicate alarm status. Green equals to normal operation, amber equals to operating error, red equals to smoke or carbon monoxide detected. Easy installation with the included twist-and-click mounting bracket. For added assurance, internal components ensure alarm is always operating as expected (self-testing is not a substitute for a weekly manual push test of the alarm). The test and hush button makes it easy to test the smoke detector and silence false alarms, should they occur. A low battery chirp alerts you when batteries need replacing. Alarm sounds as a reminder when it is time to replace the alarm after 10 years of use after its original power-up date.
