Cargo Control Technology

Six innovations that make Erickson the professional's choice for tie-downs, tow straps, and load securement — engineered and manufactured in North America.

Heavy-Duty Ratchet Mechanisms

Quick-release design

Precision-engineered ratcheting hardware delivers reliable tension and quick release. Built for repeated heavy use on trailers, trucks, and flatbeds.

UV-Resistant Webbing

Sun & weather rated

Industrial polyester webbing resists UV degradation, moisture, and abrasion. Maintains rated strength even after prolonged Florida sun exposure.

E-Track Load Securement

Infinite tie points

Versatile E-Track rail systems with interchangeable fittings provide infinite tie-down points inside enclosed trailers and cargo vans.

Rubber-Core Bungee Technology

Consistent stretch

Multi-strand natural rubber cores wrapped in durable braided jackets deliver consistent stretch and snap-back without permanent deformation.

Forged Steel Hooks

Max load rated

Heavy-gauge forged steel S-hooks, carabiners, and snap hooks resist bending and fatigue under maximum rated loads.

DOT-Compliant Assemblies

DOT certified

Ratchet straps and tow straps meet or exceed DOT and WSTDA standards for working load limits and break strength on public roadways.

How to Properly Secure Your Cargo

Strap Placement & Angles

45-Degree Rule: Ratchet straps work best when anchored at approximately 45 degrees from the load. This angle maximizes downward force and lateral stability.
Cross-Tie Pattern: For flatbed loads, use an X-pattern with straps crossing over the cargo to prevent shifting during turns and sudden stops.
Edge Protection: Always use corner protectors on sharp edges to prevent webbing abrasion and maintain full rated strength.

Working Load Limits

1" Straps (500 lb WLL): Ideal for ATVs, motorcycles, lawn equipment, and lighter cargo under 500 lbs.
2" Straps (3,333 lb WLL): Standard for boat trailers, vehicle transport, and medium-duty commercial hauling.
4" Straps (5,400 lb WLL): Heavy-duty flatbed and commercial applications — machinery, steel, building materials.
