Family Hardware — Authorized Lamello Dealer

Invisible joinery. Swiss precision. No clamps.

The Lamello P-System cuts one T-shaped profile groove with the Zeta P2, then every connector — detachable Clamex, self-clamping Tenso, aligning Bisco, slide-in Divario — pushes in by hand. No glue-ups in clamps, no visible hardware, no waiting. Zeta P2 machines, connectors and assortments in stock at Lamello USA pricing, shipped free on orders over $99.
One groove, every connector

Why the Lamello P-System

The Zeta P2 cuts a profile groove with an undercut. P-System connectors anchor in that undercut form-locked — strong across the whole face of the joint, removable without wear, and free to slide sideways until the parts are perfectly flush. That is why a Zeta sits on the bench in cabinet shops the way a cordless drill does.
Strong & form-locking
Form-locking connections across large surface areas ensure optimum tensile strength even in weaker materials.
Fast, tool-free installation
Insertion instead of screwing or gluing — connectors are pushed into the profile groove by hand, with no waiting for adhesive to dry.
Wear-free disassembly
Connectors can be removed from the profile groove for finishing or transport without causing wear.
Lateral tolerance
Because nothing is screwed down, connectors can move within the groove for perfectly flush alignment of the work piece.
Lateral ridges
Ridges on the sides of every connector keep it in the groove — even when transporting parts with connectors pre-fitted.
Any angle
P-System connectors work for virtually any angle; the groove is always cut at 90° to the joint.
Minimal cutting depth
Only 12 mm of material thickness is needed, so the P-System works in 1/2" material and back-to-back applications.

Installing cabinet face frames with the Lamello P-System
The P-System has totally revolutionized how we build and finish face frame cabinets. It saves us time and allows us to improve the quality and efficiency of our finishing process. A Zeta machine is at every cabinet-maker’s bench, as much of a staple as a cordless drill.
Jeff Tilton, Production Manager, Jewett Farms & Co., York, ME
The Lamello P-System connectors save a lot of time and have greatly improved the quality of our face frame cabinets. Adding the Lamello Zeta P2 was an investment that is definitely paying for itself.
Jason Stimis, Owner, Stimis Enterprises, LLC, Allen, MD
The Zeta P2 and Tenso system has been an absolute game changer for our shop. The set-up speed, repeatability and reliability of the P-System has allowed us to move quickly during fabrication and installation while still allowing us the flexibility to remove and attach face frames easily.

We sharpen what we sell
Carbide P-System cutter getting dull? Send it to our sharpening shop.
Family Hardware runs a CNC carbide sharpening service for saw blades and cutters — the same shop that sharpens your Freud blades sharpens Lamello cutters. The carbide-tipped Zeta cutter (art. 132141) can be re-sharpened; mail it in with your saw blades or drop it at either store. Diamond cutters are not re-sharpenable — keep a spare on the shelf.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Lamello P-System?

A joinery system built around one T-shaped profile groove cut by the Zeta P2 biscuit joiner (or a CNC with the P-System cutter). Every P-System connector — Clamex, Tenso, Bisco, Divario — pushes into that groove by hand and locks in the undercut, so joints are form-locking, strong across the whole face, removable without wear, and need no glue, screws or clamps to hold. The connectors sit inside the panel, so the finished joint shows nothing but, on Clamex, a 6 mm access hole.

Which Lamello products does Family Hardware stock?

The Zeta P2 (carbide or diamond cutter) and Zeta P2 Cordless, Clamex P-14, P-10, P-14/10 Medius and P-14/10 Flexus, Tenso P-14 and P-10 with pre-load clips, Bisco P-14 and P-10, Divario P-18, the Basic and Professional connector assortments, Divario starter sets, replacement carbide and diamond cutters, the Divario marking jig and installation tool, and the Clamex flexible fitting tool. Everything else in the Lamello USA catalog — Classic X, Top 21, Cabineo, Invis, biscuits, CNC tooling — is available special order.

How much does a Lamello Zeta P2 cost?

Prices on this page are Lamello USA minimum advertised pricing effective September 2026: the Zeta P2 with carbide cutter and drill jig is $2,000, with the diamond cutter $2,175, the Zeta P2 Cordless kit with two batteries and charger is $2,650 (bare tool $2,250). Clamex P-14 and P-10 are $175 per 80 pairs, Tenso P-14 $105 per 80 pairs. Cabinet shops and installers can request a quote for volume pricing.

Clamex or Tenso — which connector do I need?

Clamex is a detachable cam-lock connector: insert both halves, lock with a hex key through a 6 mm hole, and the joint can be taken apart later. Tenso is a self-clamping connector used as a gluing aid: it pulls the joint closed and holds it while glue cures, so no clamps or presses are needed, but it is permanent once glued. Use Clamex where parts must come apart (removable face frames, knock-down casework, finishing after dry assembly) and Tenso where you would otherwise clamp a glue joint (attaching face frames, fillers, scribes, miters, drawer boxes). Both use the same Zeta groove.

What is the difference between P-14 and P-10 connectors?

The number is the installation depth in millimetres and the Zeta P2 depth setting. P-14 connectors (Clamex P-14, Tenso P-14, Bisco P-14) need material at least 15–16 mm (5/8") thick and are the standard for 3/4" cabinet stock. P-10 connectors are shallower for 12–13 mm (1/2") material and for miters from 15 mm — drawer boxes, thin backs and crown molding. Medius and Flexus combine a 14 mm half with a 10 mm half so two shelves can meet a single 16 mm dividing panel.

Carbide or diamond cutter for the Zeta P2?

The carbide-tipped cutter (101403S / 132141) is recommended for dense hardwoods and can be re-sharpened — Family Hardware sharpens it in our own carbide sharpening shop. The diamond-tipped cutter (101403DS / 132140) lasts far longer in abrasive sheet goods such as MDF, particleboard and plywood but cannot be sharpened. Shops running mostly plywood and melamine usually choose diamond; solid-wood and mixed shops often keep one of each.

Can I use the Zeta P2 as a regular biscuit joiner?

Yes. Turn the P-System depth adjuster to OFF to disable the vertical mechanical drive and fit the optional 4 mm blade (art. 132000, special order) and the Zeta P2 cuts standard slots for original Lamello wooden biscuits (#0, #10, #20). Many shops keep the Zeta on P-System duty and run a Classic X or Top 21 for wooden biscuits.

Do you ship Lamello tools and connectors?

Yes — everything on this page ships by parcel anywhere in the contiguous U.S., free on orders of $99 or more ($9.95 below that), and is also available for pickup at our Cape Coral and Fort Myers stores. Orders are placed through secure Stripe Checkout; sales tax is calculated at checkout.
