Lamp Repair & Rewiring in Cape Coral & Fort Myers

Family Hardware repairs lamps at both of our Southwest Florida stores — Cape Coral at 622 SE 47th Terrace and Fort Myers at 13101 McGregor Blvd. Our technicians repair wiring, sockets, switches, and cords on table lamps, floor lamps, desk lamps, and many antique and vintage lamps. Drop your lamp off free at either store during business hours, or request $15 pickup and $15 drop-off if you are within 5 miles of either location.

Lamp repair used to be a Fort Myers-only service. It is now offered at both Family Hardware stores, so you can drop off at whichever location is closer to you — no appointment, no charge to drop off.

What We Repair

Lamp Rewiring, Antique & Vintage Lamps

Rewiring is the repair we are asked for most often. Cords go brittle, insulation cracks, and a lamp that has been in the family for decades stops being something you want to leave plugged in. Our technicians replace the wiring, socket, and cord with reliable new components so a lamp you like keeps working instead of being replaced — and both the Cape Coral and Fort Myers stores take rewiring work.

That includes many antique and vintage lamps, where the original wiring has usually outlived the rest of the fixture. Bring the lamp in and our technician will tell you what it needs before any work beyond the $40 deposit is done. The one thing we cannot help with is the shade.

Lamp Repair Service Area

Customers bring lamps to our Cape Coral and Fort Myers stores from across Lee County, and from Naples and the rest of Collier County. Drop-off is free from anywhere; the $15 pickup and $15 drop-off option is limited to addresses within 5 miles of one of the two stores, so it does not reach Naples.
