Tenso P-14 Self-Clamping Connector

Lamello's Tenso P-14 is a self-clamping connector with three functions: alignment, clamping and connecting. Its very high clamping force lets work pieces be glued without screw clamps or pressure — you apply glue, push the parts together and the connector holds the joint closed while the adhesive cures. The two-part concealed connector brings an unprecedented level of flexibility, speed and simplicity to design, production, transport and assembly.

Preloading the connector with a pre-load clip before assembly considerably reduces the force needed to join the work pieces and makes Tenso usable on all angles and miters — a big help on tall stiles, large panels and bulky parts. Tenso P-14 has a minimal installation depth of 14 mm and can be used in wood materials from 15–16 mm.

This is the connector in the Lamello face-frame workflow: slot the back of the face frame and the cabinet box with the Zeta P2 (depth setting 14), dry-fit with Bisco P-14, install Tenso P-14 with pre-load clips, apply glue and press the frame on — no clamps on a finished frame. Although Tenso has excellent clamping force it is intended as a gluing aid; for a detachable joint use Clamex P-14.
