About this grill
The BBQ03SI
The BBQ03SI (Chief Series) is the most accessible way into Argentine grilling: a heavy 1/8" cold-rolled steel body finished in a high-temperature black coating, with every food-contact part — grates, griddle, meat hooks, shovel and coal rake — in stainless steel 304. Same crank-adjustable Santa Maria system and 710 sq. in. of cooking area as the stainless BBQ03SS.
It rolls on four 6" swivel casters (two locking), has an attached side table, front access door and firewood storage below. Ships partially assembled with tools. Note: like all painted-steel grills, surface rust on the body is cosmetic and not covered by warranty — keep it covered (COVE03) when not in use.

The BBQ03SI is $3,950 MSRP (Tagwood pricing effective June 4, 2026). V-shape grates and a frontal elevation wheel are $100 each, factory full assembly is $400. Shipping is free in the contiguous U.S. — grills ship crated on a pallet by freight (curbside), accessories by parcel. Sales tax is calculated at checkout.
Round grates or V-shape grates?
Round stainless grates are standard and come with the interchangeable griddle; they sear with classic grill marks and let fat drip to the coals for flavor. V-shape grates are channeled and slightly tilted so fat runs off to a drip channel — cleaner, fewer flare-ups, easier on delicate foods. Choosing V-shape replaces the round grates and excludes the griddle.
How is the BBQ03SI delivered and assembled?
It arrives crated on a pallet, partially assembled: the cart and cooking system are built and you attach the top frame, hooks bar and accessories — about an hour with two people using the included tools. Or choose factory full assembly at checkout. In Southwest Florida ask us about local delivery and setup.
